How can I write on guitar tabs on the computer?

Hey I'm a 13 year old guitiarist and I've been writing songs for my album. I'm getting really sick of hand writing and when I put lots of little dashes like the ones you see on guitar tabs sites on microsoft word and whenever I wrote in a number it made the dash go further and I had to delete it and I realised it was quicker by hand. Any tips (or if there waere tabs you can copy the name of them would be great)

How do I write songs with more conviction?

I have talent and experience, but I'm doing what Korn did after Follow The Leader when it comes to writing songs and getting really ... *sigh* REALLY sappy. Not even in a cool way like Nine Inch Nails did with The Fragile. I'm resenting the same four-six letter words that are most usually rhymed ( i.e. "same-shame-blame-again, new-knew-true-do, etc...) and it sucks.

The question I am asking you, for ten points is ... Do I have to have a messiah-complex to successfully write legendarily epic alt-metal like all my predecessors ( Maynard, Manson, Reznor, Davis, tankan, Merano, Taylor, etc..), because without a really cruel ego when writing, all my song sounds like is a punk complaining. Realign my perspective

How can I write deep lyrics?

I've been writing songs since I was six and playing instruments since I was 8. I can write songs but I would love to write deep meaningful lyrics like that of Automatic Loveletter "like butterflies with knifes cutting up my insides". I try to write deep but I always use the same words in every song (love, you, hate, return, etc.etc.) and I was wondering if anyone knew any tricks to writing deep lyrics that are very meaningful. Thanks!

When writing songs, do singers normally write the music notes also?

Or do they just remember it (the tune)? Because I've always loved singing and writing songs but can never remember how the tune idea would go........& I don't know how to read music notes. & also when writing songs how does everyone in the band & singer (like an old school singing jazz band for example) all work together to make something? With it sounding good/in harmony?

I write songs and make beats. How do I become a music producer and sell my material?

I've been writing songs and making beats for years now but haven't had an oppurtunity to sell them for signed or new artists looking for good material or anyone that just like to listen to music (i.e. DJ Clue, Kid Capri etc.). How do I go about doing this? How can I market myself to artists looking for new music for upcoming projects?

please help! should i continue in music?? i really need to know?

i am almost 16, and i was in musical theatre for four years trying to get comfortable performing, and it worked. then i went to a talent agency/school for an audition twice..i got a call back twice, but unfortunatley, we did not have the money to pay to go to the school.. i have been writing songs since i could talk, but i never wrote them with a guitar..i am slowly learning guitar today.. most of the songs i wrote in the past have a tune, just its not to an instrument yet... i have sang infront of crowds of no bigger then 100, but in musical theatre.. i have troubles singing in vocal class to my peers, i think maybe because there opinions mean to much to me?..when i do sing to semi friends, friends and best friends in private, they say i send chills down there spine..?...and when i sing my own songs, they say theyre really good..and again without an instument still :( ... and then when anybody reads my lyrics, they say theyre super good. i can write a 'relle good' song in a minute if im into the write mood.. people say i am unique, i have lots to work with, and that i have a natural ability to songwriting.. i love music more then anything but there is days when i feel its so out of reach or i can't because of all the amazing others out there...and im super worried about how im going to get there...my plan right now is to continue songwriting and learning guitar and singing to people i know, and then going to a gig and performing..i am currently in a duet with my best friend, and we just started..we do have connections to getting a demo recorded when we are ready... the reason i dont know if i should continue in music is if i don't seem from my description to have enough or if since i don't have connections to record companies, and im not rich and dont have a lot of money...any help would be awesome...also, when i have some of my songs recorded should i put them on youtube or just gigs if i can? thanxx again for n e help :)

Music to my Lyrics? Any songwriters out there?

Ok, so I never learned how to play an instrument.. I started piano when I was really young but I never finished my lessons. I've been singing since I was 4 and I have been writing songs. I have some really good songs, that I need to put music to! I want to write my own music to go with my lyrics though, which instrument is really easy to learn and is good for songwriting? I am thinkin' about guitar, but I want a second opinion. Should I go with guitar or something else?
