i started both instruments 5 years ago, and for me piano is deffinitly the better option. The piano is much easier to start with , and is much more rewarding. U am now on Grade 3 piano practical and theory, but i can also play much higher levellled songs. A few years ago though, i decided to quit the violin as to me it seemd more like a chore and i didn’t enjoy it.

So i would say deffinitly piano !

I’ve been playing the piano about seven or eight years now, and I think it beats strings hands down. I started the cello about five years ago, but got bored after only a few years of playing.
I think my main problem was motivation – the cello just didn’t excite me in the same way. Plus with the piano, you can play some well-known stuff and some modern pieces – for me this has to be things like the theme from The Piano which i love! – which are always fun! :)
      Hope this helps,
