Finally, America’s Got Susan Boyle

Britain's Got Talent!

Now thanks to Simon Cowell, America's got Britain's talent, Susan Boyle !

Good old SuBo herself, Susan Boyle, made her U.S. performance debut  when she took to the stage on the season finale of the Nick Cannon-hosted reality fest. (A nice and long-rumored bookend as she also appeared, briefly via satellite, in the season premiere.)

Susan's debut album, 'I Dreamed A dream' has already bested Whitney Houston's and Jay-Z's in Amazon presales.

Susan Boyle Set in Stone

The perfect statue?Plans are reportedly under way to create a statue of singing sensation Susan Boyle.

Plans to create a statue in honour of Susan Boyle have won the support of West Lothian Council, according to Scotsman.com.

The council believes the statue could bring flocks of tourists to her hometown of Blackburn, keen to pay tribute to the Britain's Got Talent singing sensation.

It is thought that the idea of a statue emerged as a suitable way to mark her achievements, after a couple from New York visited the town and wrote a web diary of life in Boyle's backyard.

This included a "heritage trail" of a chip shop, a Chinese takeaway, the hotel where she performed karaoke, and her council house.

Tom Church, the sculptor who created Stirling's William Wallace statue, gave his support to the idea, saying: "Susan is Scotland's wee Braveheart and I would love to set her in stone."

At the moment there are no permanent tributes in Blackburn, apart from the war memorial.

What do YOU think the statue should be like?

Susan Boyle Rushed into Hospital

SUSAN IS RUSHED INTO HOSPITAL AS FEARS GROW FOR FRAGILE HEALTH OF SCOTS SUPERSTAR

Sunday October 18,2009
By Meg Milne and Paula Murray
susan-boyle-rushed-into-hospitalFEARS over Susan Boyle’s health emerged again last night after she was rushed to hospital days before a publicity drive to promote her debut album. The 48-year-old Britain’s Got Talent star became ill during a visit to her council house home in West Lothian. An ambulance was called to the modest council semi in Blackburn at 3am on Friday, prompting some Internet sites to speculate she was suffering from swine flu.

She was taken to St John’s Hospital, in Livingston, where it emerged she had an upset stomach and returned home later that day. Last night her manager insisted Ms Boyle was “fine”. The drama comes months after the former church volunteer suffered a breakdown and spent time in the Priory Clinic, in London, in the aftermath of her draining appearances on Britain’s Got Talent.

Neighbour Margaret Smith said she first heard about it on her way to work, adding: “I hope Susan is OK.“I never knew there was anything wrong but some people were talking about it.
“I saw Susan after I came home. She walked past my window at about 4pm and looked fine.”

Last night, regulars at Ms Boyle’s local, the Happy Valley Hotel, said they were surprised to hear of her latest health setback.
One said: “We hope she’s OK. Her whole life has been turned upside down and we just hope she can cope with it”.

The singer’s manager, Nicola Phillips, said: “Susan is fine and we have no further comment. I am not in a position to say what was wrong with her because that is private.”

Boyle became an overnight sensation during Britain’s Got Talent after her audition of I Dreamed a Dream, from the musical Les Miserables, became the most watched video of all time on YouTube.

Susan Boyle Keeps it REAL!

Susan Boyle appears less crazy and more thrilled on the cover of her new album, I Dreamed a Dream.

susan-boyle-i-dreamed-a-dream

The Britain's Got Talent sensation is keeping it real on the cover, appearing in all her wrinkled glory -- no airbrushing or makeover for Boyle.

"She needs to stay exactly as she is because that's the reason we love her," says Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden. "She just looks like anybody who could live on your street. The minute we turn her into a glamourpuss is when it's spoilt. For now, we'll keep her exactly as she is because that's why we've all fallen in love with her."

But Boyle's look has little to do with the current success of the album, which isn't due for release until November 23. The CD has already topped the Amazon bestsellers list due to tens of thousands of pre-orders. At this rate, Boyle is sure to hit the top of the Billboard charts!

Susan Boyle’s New Everything

Susan Boyle's new home, new look, $10 million record deal

Susan Boyle could make up to $10 million from her new album, according to Simon Cowell, who discovered her on "Britain's Got Talent."

"I think your sister is wonderful and she could be the biggest star I've ever discovered," Cowell also told Gerry Boyle, Susan's brother, according to published reports.

Boyle has also become very close to Cowell. He calls her twice a week to keep her posted her on the plans to crack America. He also makes sure she is being taken care of, and not worked too hard.  They talk about how the album is coming together and he has assured Boyle she'll have a smash record.

Boyle can't believe her new life, according to her brother. "I can't believe how much my life has changed in the past few weeks. I am so happy and I never want it to end," she told him.

Boyle has also moved into a plush apartment in London's exclusive West Kensington neighborhood with her cat Pebbles, has been given a credit card for shopping and had her teeth whitened at Simon's insistence.

Cowell  has also given Boyle a personal assistant named Julia, and her media  is now being handled by Nicola Phillips, who previously worked for PR guru Max Clifford.

Boyle is working long hours in the studio trying to get  her album perfect. Her album is being produced with the help of the legendary Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, the composer of "Cats."

Gerry Boyle says Cowell promised to look after his sister after she became an overnight sensation, and her history of nervousness became apparent.

"If she doesn't want to go forward from 'Britain's Got Talent.' I will walk away now and there is no pressure. But if she does, I promise to wrap her in cotton wool and make her a star," Cowell told Gerry Boyle.

Elaine Paige has agreed to sing a duet on the album and she has been hanging out in the studio with Boyle, helping her handle the pressures of fame.
