I mean, she has an amazing voice and she's a really passionate performer...however, I'm not into her style of music really, so I'm not a fan. Anyone else feel the same way? I mean, I'm not trying to hate on her but I'm just not into her..

Thank goodness! I am not the only one who feels this way. I just got done telling some coworkers how I don’t want her to win and they looked at me like I was insane.
There are tons of people who love the type of music she sings. Why should all American Idols be the same? Crystal shouldn’t have to sing the type of music considered "popular" because not everyone likes that kind of music. She sings what SHE likes. She writes her own music, plays many different instruments, and has an amazing voice. She is the definition of a true artist and will make it very far.
I guess her type of music is an acquired taste, kind of like Adam Lambert last season. Not everyone is going to like her particular style. I personally love it,though, because she reminds me so much of my fave singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco (who’s actually had a very successful 20 year career with absolutely no help from the mainstream). I do kind of wonder where she’d fit in with the whole Britney/Lady Gaga/Beyonce thing we have now,though, but that’s actually why I love her because I think we need something different.
But since she doesn’t fit in with the current music scene, I don’t know if she really has a chance at winning, even though I feel she is the best singer. But if she isn’t the winner, I also really hope it’s Lee because he’s current and commercial. He has the whole Kings of Leon thing which is big right now, so I think he has a better chance of winning the show and fitting into the mainstream. I still love Crystal,though,so I don’t know. But,really, as long as these 2 are in the finale, I’d be happy whoever wins.

I do agree with you. I like most music and I would not like her music at all. I would love Lee’s, Big Mike’s or Casey’s music though. Also she is extremely selfish and thinks she knows everything when she doesn’t. She is arrogant Iand I think she faked her cry today. Didn’t you notice no tears coming from her eyes.
Unfortunately you are not the only one not into Crystal. She is the best singer in the group. Her style is hers and not bad at all.
I love her and I’d buy her album. I haven’t bought anyone’s album since Chris Daughtry.

Oh my, I am into her music. Growing up as a kid I listened to that great sound Janis Joplin had. However, I kind of feel as you feel. Something about her just doesn’t sell me on her winning. She doesn’t seem to have a compassion for the competition. That may be her drawing ticket for some…and it may be what turns others off about her.
She has a lot of substance and will go further than previous winners. Think longterm. She can be like a Queen of Soul type.
She just seems so much more mature than the others.

No, I don’t understand what all the hype is about either. It’s unfair to the other contestants, and it just makes everything seem biased. She’s a great performer, but her music most likely won’t sell. Her name and appearance aren’t marketable. She’s already overrated. I just don’t see her being a superstar the way many viewers think she should be. I prefer Lee and Siobhan and could definitely see them as mainstream pop artists.
FINALLY I MEET SOMEONE WHO SEE’S EXACTLY WHAT I SEE, THANK YOU! yes yes and yes! i am not a fan of her, although she is a good singer. i don’t see her going far in today’s music industry, no matter what people say. she is too independent and i don’t think it will be good if she wins. she doesn’t have a radio voice, and i would probably change the station if i heard her. i’m not trying to hate on her, but i’m just not into that type of music. here lies the problem… stupid people ONLY vote on vocal ability or stage presence or what the judges say or whatever. but you need to factor in everything else, do they have a radio voice, do they appeal to a large audience instead of a specific group of people, could they have hit songs? i think the only person this season who can do that is lee, not crystal. people made the same mistake with taylor hicks. sure, he had a good voice, but ummm, where did he go? it’s been a couple years and he DISAPPEARED. i predict that is what would happen with crystal if she won instead of lee. thanks for agreeing with me! haha!
